The story of OGAE & Vision

OGAE (Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l'Eurovision) is the largest and most established of all fan clubs devoted to the Eurovision Song Contest, with branches in more than 40 nations.

Founded in Finland during 1984, OGAE UK was established in 1988 to meet the needs of a growing fan base within the United Kingdom.  Vision magazine first appeared in 1991 and has continued to increase in popularity during the last twenty years.

The purpose of OGAE is and always has been to spread international music and friendship throughout the world and to promote the annual Eurovision Song Contest, including the formation of close working relationships with national television broadcasters across Europe.

The organisation, which is now in its third decade, also arranges its own non-profit making competitions that members are encouraged to support.  These include the OGAE Song Contest, Second Chance Contest, OGAE Video Contest and Home Composed Song Contest.
